It’s Happening!

Hello again!  I hope that you are surviving the winter so far in good spirits and with having time to sew.  We have been quite humbled by the people and organisations that have allowed us to post their patterns and videos on this site.  There will be more soon but special thanks to our first supports:  Jennie Rayment, Debbie Shore, Laura Cola, The Fat Quarter Shop and members of Region 6.  We are receiving a steady stream (thank you!) of little boxes and bags but, as always, still need more!  We know that some of you are running out of wadding so we have acquired a roll at a discount from Doughty’s.  Thanks to them too.  We also have fabric and some kits.  Please let us know if you need anything in order to keep these little containers coming in.  The best thing is, that when you win them at Festival of Quilts 2019, they will be really useful for you!

Here is a photo of the wadding waiting in my Sewing Shed – I have recently moved house so you can see that I still have a lot to sort out!

Getting Started

Doing this blog is a new adventure for us, so please comment and make suggestions.  We will be posting patterns and we will do this having made our best efforts to check origins and copyright.  We will credit authors/originators whenever we can.  If, for any reason, we get this wrong, please tell us and we will do our best to put it right.

Hello!  The members of Region 6 of the Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles are very excited!  We are running the Tombola at Festival of Quilts 2019 – our theme has the catchy title of ‘Small Boxes and Bags to Put Things In’.  But we need your help and this blog will act as the ‘home’ where you can go for news, resources and inspiration.  We will be posting regularly especially with patterns and updates on numbers produced.  Hopefully, you will find this a fun site that you return to often.
